Since people don't seem to understand the point of my website, let me explain. This is not supposed to be a work of art, and is definitely not supposed to replace what I have previously done to my webpage. As stated in the footer of the site, KarlStudies is [UNDER CONSTRUCTION!]
So drop the shit, and deal with it. You know who you are ;)

It's been a while... Welcome Back
It's been a while...
It seem's that is has been a while since I posted. Well there's really nothing to note, there has been no new developments in my life. I decided to go back to school for the summer, which means no greece which is a shame, because I did book off two weeks at the end of august between semesters to go, but that's a bust. Other than school going smoothly, I have been completing some personal projects, and I'm really hoping that i come into some money soon. I'm tired of living off of rice and noodles. Good news is that i've actually finished a couple projects to put me ahead $1,000 this month with more to come.
I'm sorry to my followers as I haven't been an active blogger lately, but I will try and change that in the near future. At least I can say i've kept myself busy, which helps keep my mind off of everything else that goes sour. My new life policy: Become a machine, and spit out as much as I can professionally, and as early as possible. It's weird for me to give in to the mentality where it comes natural to "stick it to the man" per say, and adopt the notion of "Fuck you, me first". I've always been way too nice. It's time I change that, and get my own.

Object Oriented Programming
Well, even though I titled this particular blog "OOP", it might not all be about OOP. I am sitting in my oop class, but I feel as if i need to multitask, and write a blog at the same time. I know i haven't written in a long time, but 80% of bloggers go through the same down time that i go through. And since I tracked only one new unique pageview this entire month, i can safely assume that my audience isn't even out there expecting something new from my blog. Well, theoretically this blog is just for me, and as it stand, is still mine.
But as the teacher explains why x = bothval; and *this = Point(bothval, bothval); I'm sitting here wondering what possessed me to get up out of bed to come to this class. I mean this seems to be a great topic, but it's deffinately not covered on the midterm this coming thursday. So fact of the matter is that i should be spending my time studying for that midterm instead of learning a new topic. Think about it. Midterm is now, object headers, and pointers can wait until reading week. I mean i'm going to have to study later. There's no helping me not study, but why not grant my body its natural right to slumber until past noon, and be the bear that i am that doesn't ever want to leave his cave.
Other than OOP that i must prepare for, i should start on my EAC group assignment where i have group members counting on me to put together an entire plan on action as far as finding a topic to present later in week 9. Well THIS HAS BEEN AN UPDATE, and to my main audience.... me. So i understand this was an insanely boring post. But yet again, it's for me :)
See ya later suckerrrsssss.

DCN455 - Day 1
Well, it's the start of day one back at school... And my first class with Hyder is basically term's about networks. Internet, intranets, mac addresses, bus, ip, pulse's and more jargon. I can't really keep myself awake to pay close attention, so i'm forcing myself to write this blog post + notes so i can read it later when I wake up a little more. Now the hardware aspect of data manipulation between processing and physical memory through bits in a clock cycle is a lot of gibberish to me, but i still find this fascinating, and that's why i am in programming :)
I'm going to stop this post here, because we (the class) have steered off topic, and now are comparing different binary bytes in hex, and how they are affected in a hardware model when accessing memory...

What to expect.
Hi, i've had lots of time to ponder what exactly i want to accomplish in my life. May it be some sort of business, or entrepreneurship, or maybe even development. I might even delve into the possibility of combining all three of those practices. No one knows for certain, but one thing i have to somehow grasp is determination. I'm not a straight A student, and it's not like i lock myself in the library until late hours, but i am a student none the less. I do try, and i exhibit great patience when it comes to what us programmers know more as debugging. I guess i'm just writing to myself, because i almost thought that my life wouldn't be going very far unless I pull my hypothetical shit together. But in all fairness, my life has just begun. What am i to say what i will be doing in 10 years from now. It's funny when you say 10 years, it reminds me of elementary school when the teacher would ask "What do you want to be when you grow up", and how things have changed over the years. I Humour myself when i think of a change in my career, because whenever i answered that question, and even to this day, I answer it the same way. I want to make cool stuff. That's exactly what im going to do, now, later, even 10 years from now. All i've ever wanted to do was create. Art, games, tools, but undeniably innovations. So, maybe it's worth writing your thoughts down, so you can sort out the shit which is a confusion of your set priorities, and what you expect to accomplish. If you're still reading this, I applaud you for your incredible patience. The only thing i guess im supposed to say to sum up this jargon of mental spittle, is Do what you want, emphasis on the DO. You can't wait around expecting for the DO to come. It's your responsibility to own the DO.
Thanks -Karl

What's new and exciting
Well, I’m not exactly what i want to do with my blog, other than try to keep up to date information on what’s going on in my “world”, but even that stands to be very difficult for me. Well, it’s not because I have nothing to write, it’s more of the fact that I’ve kept myself insanely busy over the weeks. I’m socially immersed in my studies here in Toronto, hanging around some very inventive and inspiring individuals (you know who you are... Darren) and just having the best time of my life. Not only with my school this year, but also with a special someone who has captured my heart, and as cliched as it sounds, has become my better half. More about the randomness that happens to be the story of “my world” as i put it, I’m currently sitting in my kitchen writing this. I must be as close to my router as possible to even access the internets as it may be. If anyone has been paying attention to my old blog on wordpress, (which has been upgraded to blogger, and might be upgraded further if i ever decide to enjoy using this automated system iWeb offers) i wrote about my experience in my old house, and my housemates. Well, this year has been a lot better for me, and i have some great new housemates, and it seems to be a more positive atmosphere as it wasn’t last year. Also rockin’ to some beats from royksopp, and mt eden, and even vaski. I know this is a lot of nonsense that you are reading, but if you made it this far, it probably means that you had some interest in what i am writing, and i will probably keep making more nonsense posts like this, along with other interests of mine. To be honest, why the hell not. Writing helps me coagulate all my thoughts into individual posts, and in a way, just like using twitter, i give myself the sense of speaking out my thoughts, and ideas to that anonymous reader out there. Other than another night surfing the internets for cool new ideas, i have some of my own, so please stay tuned to read about some crazy new ideas I have been playing with, and don’t forget to add this rss if you want to keep tabs on this blog.

Sprouter
I went to a sprouter event this past week with my friend Darren Butcher (twitter: @DarrenButcher), and we gocked at new startup idea's by some very unique and inspiring groups.
www.WineAlign.com
www.JazLife.com
www.Burstn.com
These are some great startups, and i hope that they all succeed. Darren and I met some pretty crazy individuals with their ideas, and great personality. I want to give a shout out to Kevin M. And i just want to say that I will name my next cat Kevin, just for you! Like you said Kevin, just start tomorrow. :)
Kevin keeps a sensational blog, and deserves the attention of a lot up and coming enthusiasts in the industry. Check it out at eethos.net
